Wilmer Valderrama is taking on a new role that’s especially meaningful to him.
While currently starring on NCIS and raising his daughter Nakano Oceana with his fiancée Amanda Pacheco, Wilmer has been working on a personal project behind the scenes.
On April 8, he announced on Instagram that he will be publishing a memoir about his life and career in Hollywood. Titled *An American Story: Everyone’s Invited*, the book will be released on September 17, 2024, in both English and Spanish. It will recount the pivotal moments that have shaped his 25-year journey in entertainment and beyond.
“As a little boy growing up in Venezuela, I never thought I would write a book, let alone fill it with such complex and triumphant stories,” he wrote emotionally. “This is my thank you to my younger self for seeing beyond the expected. Thank you to my family and everyone who has been part of this whirlwind journey. This is my tribute to my mama y papa’s sacrifice… mi gente Latina, and to the country that gave me a shot. This is for all of us.”

According to the publisher’s description, *An American Story: Everyone’s Invited* will feature personal stories from Wilmer’s childhood in Venezuela and his journey to finding a passion for acting after moving to the United States. The memoir will also highlight his philanthropy and activism, including his work with the USO and his role as a Global Ambassador.
