Sasha Alexander’s Journey After NCIS: From Film to Family
Sasha Alexander, renowned for her role as Agent Kate Todd in NCIS, departed from the series after a pivotal storyline in the second season. Since then, she has embarked on a diverse array of projects across television and film.
Her post-NCIS ventures include appearances in notable productions such as “Lucky 13,” “Yes Man,” “Friends,” “The Ride,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “FBI.”
Among her most prominent roles is that of Maura Isles in the long-running series “Rizzoli & Isles,” where she captivated audiences for six seasons. Additionally, she portrayed Helene Runyon in the acclaimed series “Shameless.”
In recent years, Sasha lent her voice to the character Adeline in the animated film “Deathstroke Knights and Dragons,” starred in “Dangerous Lies,” and made a memorable guest appearance in an episode of “Law and Order.”
On the personal front, Sasha is happily married to Edoardo Ponti, whom she met during their time at USC’s film school. They exchanged vows in 2007, and Sasha became the daughter-in-law of the iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren through their union.
Together, Sasha and Edoardo are proud parents to two children: daughter Lucia Sofia Ponti and son Leonardo Fortunato Ponti.
In a celebration of life’s milestones, Sasha recently marked her 50th birthday surrounded by loved ones in the enchanting city of Paris.
