The season 3 finale, now the series’ final episode, airs on May 6.

CBS is closing the case on one of its NCIS spinoffs: After three seasons, NCIS: Hawai’i has been canceled.

Starring Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant, the first female Special Agent in Charge at NCIS Pearl Harbor, the series followed her team as they balanced duty to family and country while investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of Hawai’i.

The cancellation follows the NCIS-verse’s 1,000th episode celebration, which featured a special April 15 crossover event on the flagship series, including characters from NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles. Additionally, season 3 saw actor and rapper LL Cool J join as a recurring guest star, reprising his NCIS: Los Angeles role as Special Agent Sam Hanna.

In addition to Lachey and LL Cool J, NCIS: Hawai’i starred Tori Anderson, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, and Jason Antoon. The series was executive produced by Matt Bosack, Jan Nash, Christopher Silber, and Larry Teng.

While fans of NCIS: Hawai’i may be disappointed, the procedural franchise isn’t slowing down. CBS has announced two new shows for the next season: NCIS: Origins, following a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and another untitled show for Paramount+ featuring Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly, reprising their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.

The series finale of NCIS: Hawai’i will air Monday, May 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
