NCIS: Hawaii’s third season is getting a special home release with two never-before-seen bonus features. Despite CBS canceling the show earlier this year after mixed reviews, fans can revisit the series with a DVD box set dropping October 8.
Pre-orders are already live on Amazon Canada, with US and UK options coming soon. The bonus content includes:
- “Ruah’s Rules: Directing NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i”: A look at Daniela Ruah’s directorial debut on the show.
- “NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3: The Third Wave”: Behind-the-scenes footage featuring the cast and crew.
CBS has confirmed that while the spin-off is ending, the flagship NCIS series will return for its 22nd season on October 14, with new spin-offs NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Tony and Ziva in development. CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach admitted the cancellation was a tough decision but assured fans that the network is focused on future successes.
