NCIS’ Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer Open Up About Relationship After Emotional “Talk”
In this week’s NCIS episode, Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) finally confronted their relationship, but the future is still uncertain. In Season 22, Episode 4, the pair are forced into a tense, off-grid situation during the FBI’s takeover of their NCIS office, where they can no longer avoid discussing their feelings.
“It takes potential nuclear warfare to get them to actually speak about their feelings,” Dietzen joked in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, referring to the pivotal moment. Both actors shared that the couple put their hearts on the line, which is typical of their dynamic.
Knight opens the door for a possible reunion, asking Palmer if he’s open to rekindling their romance. “Do you want anything to change?” she asks, acknowledging they still love each other. However, Palmer gently shuts down the idea, revealing that they both have personal issues to resolve before moving forward. Palmer’s heart-wrenching words, telling Knight she deserves someone who will “chase down future job opportunities” with her, left her in tears.
Despite the breakup at the end of Season 21, the couple’s love for each other is still apparent. Dietzen teased that while they are currently separated, there is always a chance for reconciliation. “It’s not as though the door is closed on a romantic revival, but it’s going to take some twists and turns for that to happen,” he said.
Law, meanwhile, hinted that there’s still unresolved attraction between the characters. “There’s definitely an underlying attraction and love between them that you will feel throughout the season,” she said. Both actors teased that while the future of their romance is still up in the air, “juicy” developments are on the horizon.
Will Knight and Palmer find their way back to each other? Fans will have to stay tuned to NCIS to see what happens next. The show airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
