“NCIS: Los Angeles Star Daniela Ruah Returns to NCIS Universe as Director!”
Daniela Ruah, known for her role as Kensi Blye in “NCIS: Los Angeles,” is set to make a comeback to the NCIS universe, but this time behind the camera. After the spin-off’s conclusion last year, Ruah will take on the director’s chair for an episode of the main NCIS series airing this month and an upcoming episode of “NCIS: Hawai’i” slated for April.
Expressing her excitement, Ruah shared, “Kensi was born as a character on NCIS, 15 years ago, so now to be able to step onto that set again, as a director, with that incredible cast and crew, is an absolute honor.” She added, “So many familiar faces and people I love and they’ve welcomed me with open arms. It’s like coming home.”
While this marks Ruah’s directorial debut for the main NCIS series, she previously directed an episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” a few years back.
Despite earlier indications of departing the franchise, Mark Harmon, who portrays Leroy Jethro Gibbs, confirmed his return as narrator and producer for “NCIS: Origins.” The series will delve into the early life of Gibbs, with Harmon’s son, Sean, also stepping into a producing role. Reflecting on his connection to the character, Sean expressed his enthusiasm for revealing a new side of the beloved character.
With Ruah’s directorial venture and Harmon’s return to the franchise, NCIS fans have much to anticipate in the coming months.
