CBS has given a major vote of confidence to its new shows, NCIS: Origins and Poppa’s House, both receiving full-season orders after strong viewership numbers. NCIS: Origins, which takes a deep dive into Gibbs’ early days in the ’90s, has been averaging 6.2 million viewers, making it the third most-watched new series of the season. Poppa’s House, starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., is bringing in 4.3 million viewers and is the No. 3 new comedy this fall.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, praised NCIS: Origins for adding a new dimension to the NCIS franchise, while celebrating Poppa’s House for its compelling father-son dynamic.
