“NCIS: Origins Adds Star-Studded Cast and Sets the Stage for an Epic Prequel Adventure!”
The highly anticipated NCIS prequel, “Origins,” has just unveiled its star-studded cast, adding even more excitement to the forthcoming series. With a straight-to-series order for the 2024-2025 broadcast season, fans can’t wait to delve into the early years of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Austin Stowell.
Joining the ensemble are Daniel Bellomy, Caleb Martin Foote, and Robert Taylor, each bringing their own unique talents to the table. Bellomy steps into the role of Special Agent Granville “Granny” Dawson, a young probationary agent eager to make his mark in the agency. Foote takes on the character of Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf, tasked with guiding the fledgling Agent Gibbs through the ropes of the agency. Taylor rounds out the cast as Jackson Gibbs, the tough-as-nails father of Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
Set in 1991, years before the events of NCIS, “Origins” follows Gibbs’ early career as a newly minted special agent at the NIS Camp Pendleton office. Under the leadership of NCIS legend Mike Franks, played by Kyle Schmid, Gibbs finds himself navigating a gritty, ragtag team as he forges his place in the agency.
Additionally, Mariel Molina, Tyla Abercrumbie, and Diany Rodriguez join the cast in pivotal roles, adding depth and dimension to the prequel’s narrative.
