With NCIS Season 22 premiering on CBS in just over a month, fans are eager to know: What’s next for Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer? Are they still together despite the distance, or have they moved on?
Katrina Law will indeed be back, but not in Washington DC. Instead, her character will be stationed on the West Coast, working as a chief REACT training officer. The upcoming season will explore how the distance has affected their relationship.
Here’s what showrunner Steven D. Binder shared with TV Insider:
“It’s months later. Knight’s on the West Coast, and they’ve settled into their new normal of being apart. Jimmy is dating, and we’ll see how that plays out. In the premiere, Knight faces a major challenge with her hostage negotiation skills, leading to a significant conversation between her and Jimmy. This conversation will continue in Episode 4, with high stakes involved.”
So, while their relationship may not be as it once was, there’s still hope for a future reunion. The show’s writers are clearly keeping fans guessing.
