Just two months after season 21 began airing on CBS, fans were thrilled to learn that the network has officially renewed the hit drama for season 22. The announcement, made on April 9, confirmed that the series will return for the 2024-2025 TV broadcast season.
Following the exciting news, the show’s social media team celebrated on Instagram with a post that read, “I don’t know about you, but we’re feeling 2️⃣2️⃣ ,” along with the caption, “#NCIS has been renewed for a 22nd season, coming to you shortly … .”
Fans immediately expressed their excitement in the comments.

In addition to the original series, fans can look forward to the spinoff NCIS: Origins, which follows the early days of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon and newcomer Austin Stowell. Another spinoff featuring Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) will also air around the same time.
