NCIS: Sydney future confirmed after season 1

NCIS: Sydney is officially returning for a second season, CBS and Paramount+ announced on March 19.

The first international spin-off of the NCIS franchise features Special Agent Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) teaming up with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to tackle cases involving Americans abroad. The cast includes Todd Lasance and Tuuli Narkle as AFP agents JD Dempsey and Evie Cooper, and Mavournee Hazel as forensic scientist Blue Gleeson.

Premiering last November, NCIS: Sydney quickly became CBS’s top-rated new series, drawing over 8 million viewers per episode. Show creator Morgan O’Neill expressed excitement about the renewal, promising deeper insights into the characters and more intense storylines.

Todd Lasance hinted at thrilling action sequences and big reveals for the upcoming season, reflecting the show’s reputation for high-stakes drama.

NCIS continues on CBS in the US, with Seasons 1-20 available on Disney+ in the UK. Additional spin-offs include a prequel about Mark Harmon’s Gibbs and a series reuniting Ziva and DiNozzo.
