After Michael Weatherly delighted fans with a surprise guest appearance as Tony in season 21 of NCIS in February 2024, news broke that he’s returning for a spinoff series on Paramount+. According to an exclusive from Deadline, Michael and his former co-star Cote de Pablo (who played Tony’s romantic partner, Ziva David) will reunite on screen for the first time in a decade. The two are set to star in and serve as executive producers for the upcoming show. Even more exciting, the series has already been greenlit with a 10-episode order, with production expected to begin this year.
Michael confirmed the news by sharing the story on X (formerly Twitter), posting on February 28 with the caption, “So … that happened …” Fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement. “Beyond excited!! This is going to be awesome in all the ways! Thank you!!” one person exclaimed. Another chimed in, “Finally, they give us [hardcore] fans what we really wanted. Tony and Ziva are back.
