While Mark continues to shine on the big screen with his latest film, Freaky Friday 2, Pam has stepped away from the spotlight. The couple was spotted strolling through a flea market in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday.
They were matching in color coordination, with Pam in blue high-waisted jeans, a white blouse, and sneakers, and Mark in navy blue shorts, a white tee, and flip-flops.
Unlike Mark, who remains active in acting, Pam has taken a step back. Her last acting role was in 2021, with a seven-episode stint on NCIS alongside her husband. Before that, Pam appeared in a 2016 episode of The Odd Couple.
In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pam explained her decision to step back from acting to focus on parenting their two children, Sean and Ty. “I don’t think two people can work all the time in show business and stay married,” she said. “I was in a number one show. I had my own deal… I did everything you can do in this business, and then I had children and it’s like, ‘I’m not going to chase this fame thing.'”
Mark and Pam have been married for nearly four decades, tying the knot on March 21, 1987. They welcomed their first son, Sean Harmon, on April 25, 1988, followed by their second son, Ty Christian Harmon, on June 25, 1992.
Despite their Hollywood fame, Mark and Pam chose to keep their family life private. Last year, Mark told People about his decision to become a series regular on NCIS. “The decision to do NCIS was because I was traveling a lot doing movies and other things, and I was trying to stay home more with a young family. It was important to be able to make pancakes on Saturday morning.”
As their children grew older, both Sean and Ty followed in their parents’ footsteps, pursuing careers in Hollywood.
Mark portrayed Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS but departed after season 19. Showrunner Steve Binder revealed that Mark would still make guest appearances in future seasons. “As an executive producer and dear friend, Mark continues to be an integral part of the fabric of the show,” Binder said. “Our north star has always been staying true to our characters, and that truth has always guided the stories we tell and where those characters go.”
After his gradual exit from NCIS, Mark reprised his role in the sequel to Freaky Friday. Alongside original cast members Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, he returned to shoot the highly anticipated film last month.
