Vanessa Lachey, star of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” expressed her disappointment over CBS’s decision not to renew the series for a fourth season. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she lamented the lack of a proper goodbye for the show, which will conclude with its Season 3 finale on May 6.
Reflecting on the show’s end, Lachey turned to the ocean for solace, noting its cyclical nature as a reminder that nothing lasts forever. Despite the suddenness of the cancellation, she celebrated her historic role as the first woman to lead an “NCIS” series, especially poignant as the franchise reached its 1000th episode milestone. Lachey also expressed her unwavering support for her cast and crew, urging others to hire them for future projects.
Ending her post with the Hawaiian phrase “A Hui Hou,” meaning “until we meet again,” Lachey bid farewell to both the show and its loyal fanbase.
While “NCIS: Hawai’i” may be coming to an end, Lachey continues her hosting duties on Netflix’s “Love is Blind” alongside her husband Nick Lachey.
In addition to the cancellation of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” CBS also ended the runs of “CSI: Vegas” and “So Help Me Todd,” but renewed “Elsbeth” and “The Equalizer.”
